We offer both electrically heated and gas-fired options, ensuring flexibility in fuel selection. The furnace design can be tailored to your preferences, with fixed hearth or bogie hearth configurations available.
For fixed hearth furnaces, aluminum coils/foils placed on the charge carrier can be loaded using a hydraulically or electro-mechanically driven charging machine. In bogie hearth furnaces, coils/foils can be loaded onto the bogie with the assistance of an overhead crane.
After the annealing cycle is complete, the foils/coils can be discharged from the fixed hearth furnace using a discharging machine or unloaded from the bogie hearth furnace with the help of an overhead crane.
ACME Furnace offers a comprehensive range of Aluminum Coil/Foil Annealing Furnaces designed for optimal performance and energy efficiency. Our furnaces incorporate indirect heating systems utilizing radiant tube burners positioned behind stainless steel baffles, ensuring even heat distribution and efficient heat transfer through convection.
To facilitate uniform temperature distribution and minimize heat loss, we employ efficient axial or centrifugal recirculation fans. These fans can be equipped with two-speed motors or variable frequency drives (VFDs) for precise control and reduced energy consumption. Stainless steel baffles are strategically placed within the furnace chamber to optimize air circulation.
For applications requiring a protective atmosphere, our furnaces can be equipped with systems to introduce nitrogen gas during the annealing process, safeguarding the integrity of the foils or coils.
Our gas-fired furnaces feature high-efficiency radiant tube burners that deliver controlled mixing and highly radiant flames, ensuring even heat distribution along the entire length of the radiant tubes. The combustion system includes a combustion fan and gas trains, along with auto ignition, flame failure safety, and comprehensive control systems. We can accommodate various gaseous fuels, including LPG or Natural Gas.
For customers who prefer electrical heating, our furnaces can be equipped with vertically suspended heater cartridges located along the sidewalls. The heating elements are divided into multiple zones, each with its own bank of heater cartridges. This modular design allows for individual heater replacement without interrupting furnace operation. The heater banks can be connected in either STAR/DELTA or Parallel STAR/DELTA configurations to optimize energy efficiency and minimize the number of heaters per phase per group.
Our furnaces are constructed with a double-wall design, featuring an inner layer of stainless steel (SS 304) and an outer layer of mild steel (MS). Between these layers, we incorporate ceramic fiber lining for exceptional insulation, reducing heat losses to a minimum. The bottom hearth is constructed with a combination of medium-grade alumina bricks and insulation bricks to further minimize heat loss and maintain optimal operating temperatures.
For electrically heated furnaces, we employ a sophisticated heat head ratio control philosophy in conjunction with thyristor heater controllers, ensuring precise temperature control and optimized energy efficiency. We offer flexible heating control options, including 100% thyristor controllers or a combination of 30% thyristor and 70% STAR-OFF mode, providing tailored solutions for various heating and soaking requirements.
