Tempering Furnace

ACME FURNACE is a well-established manufacturer of a wide range of Tempering Furnaces, including Bogie Type Tempering Furnace, Chamber Type Tempering Furnace, Pit Type Tempering Furnace, Pusher Type Tempering Furnace, and Continuous Type Tempering Furnace. These furnaces are available in both electrically heated and gas-fired configurations, offering flexibility to suit diverse heat treatment requirements.

The tempering process is carried out to reduce brittleness in hardened steel and to relieve internal stresses generated during rapid cooling in the quenching process. In tempering, the treated metal is reheated in a tempering furnace to a predetermined temperature and held for a specific duration, depending on the required balance of hardness, strength, and ductility. Higher tempering temperatures improve ductility but reduce strength and hardness, whereas lower tempering temperatures result in higher strength and hardness with reduced ductility.

After quenching, components must be tempered at an appropriate temperature to achieve the desired combination of hardness and toughness. This is where a Tempering Furnace plays a critical role. Tempering furnaces are available in both batch and continuous operating modes and are designed to operate at temperatures up to 750°C. Each furnace is equipped with a powerful recirculation fan to ensure excellent temperature uniformity throughout the heating chamber.

All ACME FURNACE tempering furnaces are manufactured in accordance with stringent quality standards and comply with applicable safety norms, ensuring reliable operation, consistent results, and efficient heat treatment processes.
